Goals

  • To attain maximum independence in movement such as walking and activities of daily living

  • Decrease tone and increase control over muscles and movements
  • Improve motor control and coordination of movements

Treatment

  • Work on coordination of movement, decreasing tone, increasing strength and range, and functional activities
  • Posture and balance exercises, and client education
  • Functional electrical stimulation (FES) to retrain and strengthen muscles
